AWOL Gallery (Toronto, Canada) is planning The Square Foot Show 2009, an annual group exhibition of hundreds of local, national and international artists working in all media. The Square Foot Show is an excellent networking event and an opportunity for participating Artists to gain exposure to collectors, curators, media, other artists, and the general public. This is Square Foot’s seventh year and the AWOL Collective is aiming to make the show bigger and better than ever. Like 2007’s & 2008’s exhibition, we will hold The Square Foot Show at an off site venue; The Lower Ossington Theatre (LOT) at 100A Ossington. This larger venue accommodates both the numerous artworks and the hundreds of people who come to view this exhibit every year. In 2008 over 600 artists participated and exhibited over 1300 pieces!
