Panmunjom is a village located 53 km north of Seoul. It is where the Joint Security Area (JSA) was established and is supervised by the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission (UNCMAC) within the 151mile long Korean demilitarized zone (DMZ).
We ventured up there to see what the situation was like, but despite all of the heated threats, it seemed like business as usual. With organized tours running and souvenir shops open, the question that comes to mind is who is really perpetuating the hype, Pyongyang, Seoul, Washington, or the news media giants?
